Mommy & Me Portrait Sessions 2018

Every May, our local YoungLives organization celebrates teen moms with a special dinner and mini photo sessions at their monthly club meeting. It's my favorite club of the year! So many of the girls will never have the opportunity or finances for a professional photo session and I love that they are given this opportunity through YoungLives. I believe these images represent deep love, perseverance, and a growing faith and will hopefully bless and help strengthen their family bonds.

I have been a volunteer for YoungLives for almost six years. YoungLives is a division of YoungLife and provides mentoring and support to teen moms (and dads). There are three clubs in the Spokane area and each one meets monthly for dinner, games, a craft project, and to learn more about Jesus. Childcare is also provided during club so that these young parents receive a short break.

In additional to monthly club meetings, YoungLives provides diapers, food, bus passes, clothing, resume help, community connections, gifts, life skills, camp, and so much more. YoungLives started in the Spokane area about 7 years ago and so far has been able to help and support more than 300+ teen parents in our area.
