Baby Ava James McClinton
Alan and Laura were expecting their baby girl in mid-February. In December, they took a trip to Hawaii and literally hours after returning home, baby Ava arrived! She was TEN weeks early and weighed just 3 1/2 lbs. The next two months proved to be harder than they ever expected and finally after 64 days, Ava was cleared to leave the NICU. Even then, she really wasn't allowed to be around other people for fear of infection, so they had to limit her exposure and keep her indoors at home in order to keep her as healthy as possible. Finally, at 5 months they are able to get out with her and I know they are dying to introduce their little girl to everyone! This little one is a fighter and I loved watching these new parents dote after her. They know all to well just how precious life is! I am already looking forward to future sessions so that I can watch Ava grow!
