Last year, I wrote this post about our Christmas countdown tradition. I love this tradition so much and wanted to share again! I have a thing for Christmas books. I started collecting them when my twins were born in 2001 and well, now my collection fills an entire bin. Four years ago, I started wrapping the books to use for a Christmas countdown. My youngest was just two and she was beyond excited to open a new book each night and read by the Christmas tree. Her excitement was completely contagious and even my teenagers wanted to join in for the stories. I love that these simple stories have the power to bring us together, slow down time (even for a few minutes), and remind us to listen.
