It's a new season/year for YoungLives in our area and we celebrated by gathering together up at High Country Orchard for a fun fall party. It was such a great night with food, pumpkin decorating, and caramel apples!
I have been a volunteer for YoungLives for the past five years. YoungLives is a division of YoungLife and provides mentoring and support to teen moms (and dads). There are three clubs in the Spokane area and each one meets monthly for dinner, games, a craft project, and to learn more about Jesus. Childcare is also provided during club so that these young parents receive a short break.
In additional to monthly club meetings, YoungLives provides diapers, food, bus passes, clothing, resume help, community connections, gifts, life skills, camp, and so much more. YoungLives started in the Spokane area about 6 years ago and so far has been able to help and support more than 300 teen parents in our area.
