Emily | Class of 2016

Emily can’t remember a time when soccer wasn’t a part of her life! And I think the only time she isn't playing is when she is under doctor's orders after surgery (she's already had to endure 3 knee surgeries!). Her favorite part about high school is playing sports and supporting her classmates in their sporting events. Emily has the most beautiful teal eyes and I loved that she was able to show me a little of her serious side and her playful side during her session. This Mt. Spokane senior is hoping to attend Boise State University after she graduates. Good luck Emily!

Fun fact...my daughter had Emily's mom as her science teacher at Mountainside Middle School and loved her! Small world!

Kayla | Class of 2016

Spokane, WA Senior Session

This country girl is all about her family, time at the lake, and taking care of her animals! She values family time and is looking forward to making the most of her senior year at Mead by participating in all the events. She is going through the Running Start program this year and is hoping to attend WSU after she graduates. Kayla is loyal, fun, and such a sweetheart. I loved meeting her and so many of her sweet family members that came to check in on her during her senior shoot!  You are loved girl!!

Julia | Class of 2016

Julia’s dad called to book her senior session and started the conversation by saying, β€œI don’t know much about your work, but my daughter says she HAS TO HAVE her photos taken by YOU!” Ahhh, what a great way to start a new booking! Thank you Julia! We had so much fun exploring downtown together and just happened upon a new mural that made for such a unique and fun spot. I know Julia is anxious to graduate and is already planning her life after high school…she is dreaming about living somewhere outside of Washington! Here’s to new adventures! You have so much life ahead of you!

Brittney | Class of 2016

Brittney is a senior at Mead and loves being a part of ASB. Supporting school sports is her favorite part about high school. She is hoping her senior year is filled with special memories and is already looking forward to PROM! Brittney is close to her family and I love that she brought one of her younger brothers to her session. She dreams about going to medical school someday…wishing this sweet girl an amazing future and lots of fun this coming year!

Jacob | Class of 2016

North Central High School Senior Photography Session

All of my seniors fill out a short questionnaire prior to their session. Their responses give me a little insight into their personality and help me prepare for their session. Most of them respond with a sentence or two, but Jacob is the exception. He sent the most thoughtful and authentic responses that I had to share just a few of them here...

What do you love most about High School?: What I love most about High School is that it really follows the saying "hard work is the great equalizer". The more you put into your HS experience and the harder you work then the more things you'll get out of it. High School gives you a chance to look into your future and there's all sorts of opportunities to find out what you want to do with the rest of your life. Your four years of HS essentially build the base for the rest of your future which is scary but at the same time awesome. You get the chance to experiment with different activities, subjects, and choices without having the pressure that you could lose your job or not be bringing enough money home to provide for your family. Besides everything HS does to help you with your future, you get to make memories that you'll remember forever and friends that you'll be excited to catch up with at your 20 year reunion!

What are you most looking forward to about your Senior Year?: What I am looking forward to most about my Senior Year is just having even more of an opportunity to step up as a leader. Being part of the senior class means that you get to set the bar for school spirit and the way your school feels which is awesome. I remember my freshman year looking up to the seniors as role models & it was so amazing to have these seniors on my XC team who I knew had my back. I'm excited to be that for the underclassman on my team and for the entire school. Finally I'm excited for all the big events that feel even more special your senior year like going to Football games, PROM, senior skip day (haha), and graduation. I feel ready to start planning for my future and get the chance to think of what I want to do the rest of my life!

Jacob-I have no doubt that your future is going to be filled with amazing opportunities. Your passion, enthusiasm, and desire to make the most of each and every moment is remarkable and will serve you well in whatever you choose to do! It was such a pleasure to work with you.
