A few years ago, I made a simple album to save our family Christmas cards. This album sits on a shelf during the year, but always finds a place on our coffee table during the holidays. My girls love to see our photos and the changes from year to year. And already my twins (age 14) have plenty to say about some of the fashions and hair styles from our early cards! It's easy to add to this album each year by simply slipping in a new piece of card stock and our latest card.
Here is what you need to make this album:
card stock paper
your Christmas cards
Most of our cards are 5x7 in size. I attached each card to a piece of card stock cut to 5 3/4 x 8 1/2 so that it would fit perfectly inside the sheet protector. Basic card stock paper comes in 2 different sizes, 8 1/2 x 11 or 12 x 12. I used 12 x 12 pieces and cut them down to the right size. Places like JoAnn Fabrics, Michael's, and Hobby Lobby sell individual sheets of card stock.

Hopefully you are inspired to save and preserve your family Christmas cards...a little piece of your history to be enjoyed for years and years!
