Laughter is the theme for the September photo challenge at Rock the Shot.
Davis Family
This family has been a part of my life since 2004. They were the very first family I met when I started working for JDRF. Over the years, Illa wore many hats for JDRF - volunteer, committee member, board member, board president, mentor and finally I hired her as my employee. In addition to all the things she did for JDRF, Illa became my dear friend. She has a heart of gold and a true giving spirit. I worked for JDRF for 8 1/2 years and I owe a HUGE part of my success to the partnership, love, and support provided by this family. They were literally by my side every step of the way. Megan, their youngest daughter, was in the 6th grade when they last had professional photos taken. Megan is now in college and it was time for some updated photos! Can't wait to see a new family photo hanging over your fireplace!
Whitney | Class of 2014
I adore this girl and can't thank her enough for taking a chance on me and agreeing to be my very first Senior! Whitney is so beautiful (inside + out!), a cheerleader, a dancer, a lifeguard, former Miss Inland Empire's Outstanding Teen, and so much more. She is wise beyond her years, soft spoken, easy going, and beautifully confident. And last but not least, she pretty much drove the early morning band carpool for her little sister (and my daughter) all last year when she was just a junior in High School. I have known her since she was in elementary school and it's hard to believe that she is starting her Senior Year!!! I can't wait to see all the fabulous things she will do this coming year. Her future is bright!
From Whitney...
I am excited for what my future holds.
I think that every single second of my life is a chance to better someone else’s life, and that no one should take such a powerful gift as that for granted.
I wonder what my life would be like if I wasn’t blessed with the opportunities I have been thus far.
I wish to do something great with this life I’ve been given, and to live every second for god.
I savor every moment that I get to spend with my friends and family.
I can't imagine my life without the people I have supporting me now.
I believe that everyone has the potential to be great but it’s the choice you make to be great that sets you apart from the rest.
I promise myself that I will be able to look back on my life when I’m older and confidently say that I have made a positive difference in at least one person’s life.
I love my family, friends, god, and every single person who has left a mark on my life whether good or bad because it has helped shape the person I am today.

Pend Oreille River Vacation
Kopp Family
Amber is a new friend. I met her this past year through Young Lives, an organization serving teen moms and a division of Young Life. She is on staff for Spokane Young Lives and I am a volunteer for the North Club. Amber is truly an inspiration to me, awesome mom to her 3 kids, and an incredible role model to so many young moms in our area. Take a minute to watch this video about her, make sure you have some kleenex nearby. https://vimeo.com/64466900
If I had an award for "looking adorable and maintaining our cool in high heat" it would go to Amber & Tony and their sweet kids...Jordan, Avurie, and Landry! This photoshoot took place on one of the hottest evenings in July. Thank goodness for the promise of ice cream to keep everyone going!
