Everyday Life | May

May brought warmer temperatures, several outdoor activities, and more great family moments. Life is full + good! Editing & working with my personal images truly reminds me of just how blessed I am. My favorite images from this month are....sisters sharing the iPad, walking Bloomsday together, watching my daughter march in the Jr. Lilac Parade, (stuffed) puppy love, Memorial Day weekend fun with family, hanging out with friends, and chores.

And just to keep things REAL....the twins are literally in the basement fighting and yelling at each other over who knows what at this very moment. Seriously. Thank goodness we have a basement and I can close the door and tune them out. Life doesn't always look like these photos - trust me. I just choose to focus on the happier moments.

I started Everyday Life, a monthly blog post, in January 2014 as a personal commitment to keep shooting, editing, and sharing my family photos!

Harper Grace

Remember all the darling handmade outfits from this maternity session in May? (If Grandma ever opens an Etsy shop, I will be the first in line!). Little Harper Grace arrived 15 days early with lots of white blonde hair and she is perfect! I think it's quite special to photograph a couple at their maternity session and then to capture them again as parents at their newborn session. There is this awesome transformation of "us" to "we" that I am able to witness, especially when photographing families in their homes. Thank you Mandi & Brandon for the opportunity to capture those early "we" moments with your precious baby girl. I know you will enjoy every minute with her. I am so excited for you to be a family of 3!

Emma - Mead HS Senior Model Rep Class of 2015

I could have posted every single photo from this session (and I almost did!) because every single photo was fabulous! Emma is my first Senior Model Rep from Mead High School and I am thrilled to have this sweet girl representing Leaving A Mark Photography for the 2014-15 school year! I first met Emma last summer when she came along for Kelli's senior session...it's so fun to get to work with her this year as a Senior Model! I am already looking forward to her full session in July...she is a natural in front of the camera!

Senior sessions are filling up fast! Find out more details here or call 509-981-7403.

Corri - Mt. Spokane HS Senior Model Rep Class of 2015

This is Corri, my very first Senior Model Rep from Mt. Spokane High School! This session took place on Greenbluff at High Country Orchard and it was the perfect place to kick off the senior season...a beautiful warm May night + gorgeous blooming orchard! Corri has been dancing for 10 years and has played the piano since the age of 8. She plays on a baby grand piano at home. Her favorite part of High School is cheer and dance team. Big sister, Lexi, jumped into a few shots at the end of the session and I just loved capturing these two together. And the cute vintage bikes are really their bikes (not just props!). So fun!

I am thrilled to have Corri representing Leaving A Mark Photography this year!!
