Emma | Class of 2015

I love this girl! There may have been a text or two prior to the session about the potential of "melting hair" due to record high heat, but thankfully we received a little break in the temps and Emma powered through her senior session looking as GORGEOUS as ever! She’s been representing Leaving A Mark Photography as a Senior Model Rep, which means I was lucky enough to photograph her twice! You can see her spring session here. Emma enjoys running, skiing, watching movies, and spending time in the sun. The fun glitter photos were taken with Emma’s best friend, Kelli, who just so happens to be a Leaving A Mark Senior - Class of 2014. I wish Kelli much luck as she starts her freshmen year at the Univ. of Montana and to Emma as she starts her senior year at Mead!!! It's going to be a great year for you both!

Emma's thoughts...

                                        I was…little now I'm almost grown up.

I am…a girly girl

I think…about what my future holds

I wonder…anything and everything.

I wish…I was taller.

I save…hundreds of pictures

I always…thank Jesus

I can’t imagine…being without my family

I believe…my future is bright

I promise…to be true to myself.

I love…my friends and family.

Ainsworth Family

Running, climbing trees, jumping off the rocks, and just generally getting a little too close to the edge…Mt. Spokane is heaven when you are an 8 year old boy! These twin brothers are both on the Mt. Spokane Ski team and the parents are part of the Ski Patrol. A session at Vista House on the top of Mt. Spokane was the perfect place for this adventurous family!

AJ | Class of 2015

AJ's senior shoot was so much fun! I love that we shot most of his football photos at Mead High School (which just so happens to be my old highschool AND where I met his parents!!). He rocked his session even though it was 95 degrees! AJ is so friendly, humble, and incredibly photogenic! Oh and I must add that he is an Ivy League prospect! I have no doubt his future will be filled with many great blessings.

AJ's thoughts....

                                    I was…fat

I am…growing

I think…conservatively

I wonder…about a lot of things

I wish…for world peace

I save…money

I always…eat

I can’t imagine…life without my family

I believe…that we will win

I promise…to give 110%

 I love…my family

-AJ, Summer 2014

I adore this image of AJ & his mom, Kari! Back in the day, Kari and I cheered for Mead!! :-)

Everyday Life | June

Little by little I am working my way through personal edits which always seem to take a back seat to client images, but still SO important to me to capture bits and pieces of our everyday life! And just when I need a little encouragement to keep moving ahead with this project I find out a friend of mine and amazing photographer in Western Washington, Lisa Jump, is joining me in capturing and posting her Everyday Life as well! Take a moment and check out her blog here

A few of my favorite moments from June...first nail polish for Emily, summer evenings in our backyard, band concert, Twins turned 13 (how in the world is that possible?!), playing in the Spokane River, celebrating with my Dad on Father's Day, a Frozen Princess Party (thanks Jill!), and a weekend at the cabin.

I started Everyday Life, a monthly blog post, in January 2014 as a personal commitment to keep shooting, editing, and sharing my family photos. Follow along on Instagram too at @leavingamarkphoto or #oureverydaylife2014.

Clara Jane

Clara Jane is the 4th baby girl I have photographed this Spring/Summer! So many sweet little girls this season and I have loved every minute with these precious newborns. Clara’s session was double the fun since she has a big sister, 3 year old, Evelyn. As you can imagine, baby Clara is receiving most of the attention at the moment and Evelyn was so good during the session. Mama planned small little gifts for Evelyn to open during the session which kept her very busy! :-) Miss Clara did not want to miss any part of her newborn session and was wide awake for most of it...I love the photo where her hand is up near her mouth, almost as if she is telling her Mama a secret!

Congratulations Hill family! Thank you for inviting me into your home to capture these precious moments!!
